If you’re looking for a remote job using Facebook (also known as Meta), this post is for you.
You probably know that Facebook is the world’s largest social media platform. But did you know that Meta owns Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp, Meta Quest, and Workplace? This huge influence creates many ways to collaborate with tech giants.
If you love spending time on Facebook and want to work from home, here are some remote Facebook jobs, money-making opportunities, and scams you should know about.
1. Social media evaluation work
Similar to search engine evaluators and ad evaluators, this role logs onto social media sites like Facebook and searches for keywords and terms for quality and relevance. However, before you begin, you must pass an online assessment test. I heard this is very difficult. These roles require you to be detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and up to date with the latest trends. You can apply for these remote jobs through Appen, TELUS Digital, and Welocalize. In these positions, you will work as an independent contractor, but your hours will be flexible. These companies employ workers from all over the world.
2. Facebook Ads Manager
There are many business owners who will pay you a lot of money to run and manage Facebook ads if you understand the keys to effective Facebook advertising. These positions are sometimes referred to as paid media specialists or digital advertising specialists. You can find these remote jobs on sites like FlexJobs, Brafton, IZEA, and Raptive.
Another way to work as a Facebook ads manager is to start your own Facebook ads management agency from home. If you don’t know where to start, Bobby Hoyt created a course called Facebook Side Hustle. This course teaches small business owners how to manage their Facebook ads. I have never taken or reviewed this course myself, but my friend Kristin from Believe in a Budget highly recommends it.
3. Social media moderator
As a Facebook moderator, you oversee Facebook groups and pages to ensure group rules are followed, questions are answered, and spammers are kept out. In this role, you will not work directly with Facebook. Instead, you’ll be working for business owners and bloggers who need help with their Facebook pages and groups.

4. Social media manager
Social media management is an all-encompassing position that involves creating content, responding to queries, running and evaluating social media campaigns, managing content, and more. You can usually land these jobs if you have a marketing degree, social media experience, or by taking online courses. These roles often require familiarity with multiple platforms such as Twitter (X), LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Snapchat, as well as Facebook and Instagram.
Meta is hiring for a variety of remote marketing positions, so you can start your job search there. You can also find social media positions in marketing agencies, large and small. Staffing agencies like Robert Half and Kelly Services are also great for finding one-time remote job opportunities.
If you want more control over your time, offering freelance social media services is a good option. You can also post your services on sites like Upwork and Fiverr, or market them directly to clients. Check out this article to learn more about starting your own social media business.
5. Become a Facebook influencer
If you’re a content creator who enjoys creating unique content online, Facebook has plenty of options for monetizing your influence.
Currently, Facebook has five internal ways to monetize your content.
- In-stream video ads
- instant articles
- Fan registration
- Collaboration with brands
- Live video (earn stars)
- bonus
To make money with these methods, you need an established brand or business page on Facebook. Each monetization method has specific criteria that you must meet before you can apply for the program, but if you meet those milestones, it’s easy to apply. I don’t know how they choose who goes into each program. I applied for the bonus but haven’t received anything yet. I’m not very active on Facebook either.
You can monetize your Facebook influence with affiliate marketing or sell your own products on Facebook. Whether you want to create branded products or sell print products, ebooks, courses, or services, there are many ways to monetize your Facebook audience using Facebook Commerce and Facebook Appointments.
6. Facebook remote jobs
If you want to work as a Facebook employee, there are many remote jobs, full-time jobs, and internships you can apply for. Facebook hires remote employees from the United States, Canada, Europe, India, and Brazil, and most positions are location-based.
To find new jobs on the site, select the search input Location and select Remote. Facebook is hiring in a variety of career fields, including AI, ad technology, business development, communications, data, design, engineering, finance, legal, operations, human resources, research, sales, marketing, interns, and VR.
If you can’t find a relevant role among our current job postings, create a career profile to create personalized job alerts, get job suggestions, complete coding puzzles, schedule interviews, and more. You can also display.
For its non-remote employees, Facebook has adopted a hybrid work model in which in-person employees work from home three days a week. It also seems like most managers are pretty flexible with their schedules. Meta is an equal opportunity employer and sponsors military spouses and veterans, offering mentorship programs and more.
In addition to implementing remote work, Meta offers many benefits to its employees, including health insurance plans, paid family leave, 401(k) plans, paid time off, equity, and pay transparency.

Beware of scams
Of course, with so many people wanting to work on Facebook, scammers like to capitalize on this enthusiasm by advertising fake jobs on Facebook. Regarding Scam Detector, he mentions two things. One is “Facebook Fortunes Home Income Flow” and the other is “Facebook Bonanza.”
In these cases, when you click the (Apply) button, you will be taken to a landing page where you will need to enter your credit card information to receive the starter kit. This is similar to the Easy Google Profit scam that was popular a few years ago. Once they have your credit card information, your account will continue to be charged monthly for this fake information.
Another employment scam to watch out for is scammers posing as Facebook’s recruiting team. In this type of scam, you might receive an email, text message, or phone call saying Facebook wants you to interview for a remote job. But not Facebook. This is a scammer impersonating Facebook. Legitimate businesses don’t use free email accounts like Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo. We also do not conduct interviews using third-party messaging apps such as Telegram, Signal, or WhatsApp.
If you are unsure whether a job offer is legitimate, take the time to research the job widely. Look at websites like the Better Business Bureau and Glassdoor.com. A wealth of information is provided. If a recruiter contacts you, please verify your identity on LinkedIn. You should also keep track of all your applications to see if you applied for the job.
Conclusion: Facebook remote jobs
Although you should be wary of scams, you can find plenty of legitimate work-from-home jobs on Facebook. If you’re willing to freelance or start your own business, there are many ways to make money using Facebook.
I wish you the best. Please let us know if you decide to apply for any of these positions.
