Ink Business Cash Credit Card vs Ink Business Priority Credit Card

Ink Business Cash Credit Card vs Ink Business Priority Credit Card

Being an entrepreneur or owning a small business can be stressful enough without adding any financial worries to the equation. Access to a great business credit card will help you support your business goals, ease cash crunches and earn rewards for essential business spending.

In general, Chase has a wealth of business cards, all of which have benefits for small business owners. You may be considering two of the most popular business cards: InkBusiness® Credit Cards and Ink BusinessPreferred® Credit Cards.

In short, Ink Business Cash Credit Cards work for companies with moderate annual spending, as they provide the opportunity to earn rewards without paying annual fees. The Ink Business Preferred Credit Card is better suited for businesses that spend more on travel and some business categories and can easily offset the modest annual fee.

Let’s break down these two notable business cards.

Ink Business Cash vs. Ink Business favorite highlights

There are some details to pay attention to when comparing this card, so let’s take a look at some important card features and help you choose the best card for your business needs.

Which cards make the most money?

In most cases, even considering annual fees, you can still earn far more than the ink business’s cash. The warning is that your business needs to spend a significant amount of money on annual and card bonus categories.

This can be a simple task depending on your business. Online businesses, for example, could easily appear in Ink Business spending limits with three times more rewards for shipping and social media ads alone. If your business relies on travel and covers employees for business trips, reaching a $150,000 spending limit on boosted compensation may not be a problem.

Ink Business Cash vs. Ink Business PreferedExpense Example

Ink Business Cash Card Expenses

Ink Business Cash Card has two bonus categories of return rates. 5% and 2%, each caps $25,000 for total purchases per account anniversary. You can earn this when you reach these limits each year.

  • $1,250 back category backs
  • $500 for restaurants and gas spending
  • $750 for welcome bonus

The first year will earn around $2,500 in cashback and the following year will earn $1,750 (1% reward rate does not include additional spending). Don’t forget that all of this cashback accumulates as the ultimate reward points. This allows for multiple redemption options.

With this card, there is no annual fee to subtract, so all cashback is profitable. As long as you pay off your monthly balance, you can avoid paying interest fees and increase the value of this card even more.

Ink Business Priority Card Expenses

If the ink business is desirable, the bonus category’s reward rate is a little lower at 3x points, but the annual spending limit is much higher. You can earn it when you reach the category limit.

If you redeem these points to go through the Ultimate Rewards Travel Portal, the points are worth $6,750 on a trip through the portal for the first year of your card membership.

If you subtract the $95 annual fee, the reward value of approximately $6,655 will take priority in the first year. And after the first year bonus, when redeemed for a trip, you still get a reward of $5,530.

Why do I need to get Ink Business Cash?

If you have medium business spending every year (below $25,000 for each of the specified bonus categories) and do not require travel rewards or perks, you should consider an Ink Business Cash.

Why should you prefer the ink business?

The Ink Business Preferred card is perfect for businesses that spend more money in the annual and 3X category. Maximize your reward potential by achieving a $150,000 bonus category spending limit per year and redeeming travel rewards.

Conclusion

Both the Ink Business Cash Credit Card and the Ink Business Preferred Credit Card offer business owners the opportunity to earn rewards for typical business spending. Ink Business Cash has no annual fees and lower spending limits in the Top Rewards category, but Ink Business Preferred’s bonus category has a higher spending limit, travel is more valuable, and spends an annual party of $95.

The selected card must depend on the stage in which the business resides. If you own a small business that’s not reaching $150,000 in annual spending and don’t need travel perks, an Ink Business Cash Card might be the better option.

However, if you spend at least $150,000 each year on your chosen bonus categories and valuable travel perks, then it may be worth it for the ink business to like. However, please note that since these cards are in the same card family and are provided by the same issuer, there is an option to upgrade or downgrade cards between products as needed.
