How to book a trip and more using the Chase Travel Portal

Most credit card reward programs allow you to redeem points and cashback in several ways. This definitely applies to the points of the Chase Ultimate Rewards program. These points are some of the most dynamic and versatile of all the reward programs available today. This is primarily because you can redeem them for travelling cashback, statement credits, gift cards, products and Chase Travel.

Chase’s premium travel credit cards have a new redemption value called Points Boost, which can reach twice the redemption value depending on the available offers. If you choose the same card, a 1:1 point transfer will also allow you to track your airline or hotel partners.

If you’re interested in booking Travel directly with rewards, you should know that this is a travel credit card option and a cashback credit card associated with your brand. All reward cards offered through the bank will allow users to book their trips in the exact same way. Branded travel portal (called Chase Travel).

What is Chase Travel?

Chase Travel is a travel portal offered through card issuers affiliated with Expedia. This means you can chase travel on a variety of travel reservations, including airfares, hotels, car rentals, and more, just like if you’re shopping for a trip using other websites.

To use Chase Travel, you will need a Chase credit card and an online account using Chase.com. You can also travel to Chase using the bank’s award-winning mobile app.

Once you’ve logged in to your account, simply click on the side of the page where reward points are displayed to access the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal.

After that, you can see all the different ways you can redeem your points and cashback. Options vary depending on the Chase Credit Card you have, but can include:

Who has access to Chase Travel?

To access the Chase Travel portal, you will need a credit card that earns rewards with the card issuer. This means that co-branded airline and hotel credit cards offered through Chase will not work, and instead you will need a Chase credit card that will earn you cashback or travel rewards.

The following credit cards are available to access the Chase Travel portal:

How to use the Chase Travel Portal

Click Rewards Total to visit the Chase Ultimate Rewards section of your website or app, and you will be asked which Chase Card account you want to access. This part is important as some Chase credit cards are more valuable when redeem points to pass through the Chase.

Using the Chase Ultimate Rewards program’s travel portal is much like bookings to travel other sites by searching for the trips you want, comparing prices and options, and making reservations based on what you decide. The difference is that you can pay for airfares, hotels, or other trips with tracking points, cash, or a combination of cash and points.

The fact that Chase can be booked with a combination of cash and points makes it easy to use up small amounts of points on your card, especially since there is no minimum redeemable method.

How to book a flight with Chay Travel

To book airfares through Chase Travel, select the option marked “Flight” and enter the required itinerary information. For example, you choose the airport in your home, your destination, and your date. It also decides whether to skip the economy or if it’s the first class.

At this point, you have the option to filter out the results in the right way, such as early departures, pricing, or specific airlines. From there, select the itinerary you need for points, cash, or a combination of two.

View filtering and use the points and cash combination to select flight itinerary based on settings such as early departure, cost, airline selection, and more.

If you decide to proceed with your booking, enter information about the traveler for your itinerary, such as your name and date of birth.

How to stay at the hotel is via Cheystravel

Hotel bookings will stay through Chay Travel works, as well as flight bookings. Decide where you want to travel and when you are traveling.

From there you can choose between the hotel, resort and apartment options available on Chase Travel, as well as whether you want to pay in cash, points, or both.

How to book a car rental through Chay Travel

From there, you can choose from a variety of car rentals and rental agents and then pay your booking with rewards, cash, or both.

You can also use the Chase Travel to book a variety of “activities” such as museum tours, snorkeling adventures, and various types of ground transport (including airport pickup and drop-offs at destinations around the world).

Benefits of booking through Chair Travel

While many experts believe that you should always transfer points to your airline or hotel before booking a trip, there are many reasons to use the Chase Travel Portal instead. At least some time. Here are some of the benefits you can get to do so:

Book a paid trip through Chase and earn a large amount of rewards

Chase Travel allows you to redeem Points or Cash Back for Travel for Chase, but you can also pay for the trip through the portal.

In fact, most Chase Credit Cards offer a minimum of 5% back or 5x points on trips booked with Chase Travel, while Chase Sapphire Aliserve offers 10x points on hotel and car rental reservations made through Chase.

You can still earn airline miles

Also, note that you are earning airline miles on flights booked with Chase Travel. That’s true whether you pay in Chase Points, cash, or both. To double the dip and earn airline miles, you will need to add your frequent flyer number to your booking along with the airline after payment.

You can get up to twice the value via point boost

As mentioned previously, some Chase credit cards offer more than 1 cent per point in value when booking a Travel Sul Chase using Rewards. When booking Travel with Chase, you may have some flexibility in the value of your points.

With a program change announced on June 17, 2025, Chase announced that from June 23, 2025 that its sapphire cards and ink cards will no longer receive a 25% or 50% point increase when redeemed for a Chase trip trip trip. Instead, cardholders could be up to 1.5 times or twice as much as the value of flights and hotel bookings with new point boost features.

You can book the trip you need

Booking Chase Travel helps you avoid dealing with the complex loyalty programs and limited award availability that are common in hotel and airline programs. When you book Travel Sto Chase, you can choose from the hotel brand, airline, car rental company or travel provider that is available for your destination or date.

You can combine Chase Points into one account

Chase allows you to pool rewards from multiple cards into one account for premium travel redemptions. For example, you can earn cashback on cards like Chase Freedom Unlimited, use business cards like Ink Business, recommended for all business spending, and use Chase Sapphire, which is popular for all travel, meals and online grocery purchases.

From there, you can combine all your points into your Chase Sapphire Preferred account and get up to 1.5x points boost when booking Points Travel, and 1:1 point transfer to track your airline and hotel partners.

Is Chase Trip worth using?

Chase Travel is worth using in a wide range of scenarios. This is true when you transfer points to an airline or hotel of the time. However, it may be better to skip the Chase Travel in favor of other types of redemption.

If the travel portal is worth using

There are clear benefits to using Chase Travel, but it can be worth using no matter what. For example, Chase Travel offers another way to book the travel you need if your airline or hotel program does not find award availability, or if you want to book a trip but don’t have enough points for other reward programs. It can also be great if you need special flexibility to travel where and when to travel.
In addition to airfares and hotel bookings, the Chay Travel is also worth it.

For example, you can use Chase Travel to book snorkeling tours, guided museum tours, and other excursions via the “Activities” tab of the portal.

The generous bonus fees for your Chase Travel purchase are worth using the portal when paying for your trip at least in cash.

Finally, if you first transfer to an airline or hotel partner, and you need fewer points to book, Chaystravel is worth using. If your airline partner and your flight requires 50,000 miles, you can find it through Chase Travel at 30,000 Chase Points. It’s easy to use the portal instead of transferring points.

If the travel portal isn’t worth using

There are also situations where Chase travel is not the best deal, or it may be better to pay cash directly for your trip. If you’re planning on paying cash for a booking and find a lower price anywhere other than Chase, it makes sense to skip the portal and use the cheaper option.

If you find a prize booking through a Chase Partner with fewer points than booking a Chase Travel, this is another scenario where you skip the portal and transfer the rewards instead. At the end of the day, the Chase Travel portal is just one of the tools you can use to maximize your rewards and travel budget.

Conclusion

Now that you know how the Chase Ultimate Rewards Travel Portal works, you need to spend your time familiarizing yourself with all the ways you can use your points. In fact, Chase offers much more flexibility when using rewards, using points, cash, or both, as it allows you to book airfares, hotels, car rentals, cruises, activities and more.
