The Citi Rewards+® card has been discontinued and is not open to new applications.

Citi Rewards+® Card Cardholders can earn double points at supermarkets and gas stations (up to $6,000 per year, then 1x points). However, this card has other praiseworthy features, such as many ways to earn APR offers for purchases and balance transfers and additional rewards.

Whether you’re considering Citi Rewards+ or you already have it and want to maximize its benefits, there’s a breakdown of its features and how to make the most of them.

Benefits of Citi Rewards+ Card Rewards

Rewards for gas and groceries spending

Earn rewards is where you can really do it Maximize the value of this card. The reward structure offers double points at supermarkets and gas stations, with a total spending limit of $6,000 per year in the category. When you reach the limits in these spending categories, you will earn 1x points per dollar. Additionally, as a special offer, you can earn 5x points on hotels, cars and attractions booked through Cititravel.com (available until December 31, 2025). All other purchases earn 1x points.

Many ways to redeem rewards

City rewards + cards will be generated “Basic” thank you pointswhich means you cannot transfer points to all available City Airlines and Hotel Partners (More valuable redemption options). However, you can Transfer eligible points JetBlue TrueBlue or Wyndham Rewards Loyalty program account for the privilege of participating choice.

You can also make a reservation using basic Citi Travelling through the CITI portal. Other redemption options include gift cards, shopping with points with eligible merchants (such as Amazon or BestBuy) points, and points that cover qualifying purchases as statement credits. The best way to redeem points is by gift cards or travel, as both options offer 1 cent per cent value. Other redemption options may have a value of less than 1 cent per point.

Roundup function

Citi Rewards+ Card offers a unique way to earn more rewards through a summary feature that allows you to combine points into the nearest 10 points. So, if you make a $2 purchase, you’ll earn 10 points instead of 2 points. A $43 purchase will increase by up to 50 points.

Please note that gas and grocery purchases are rounded up only after a double rate is applied. So the $64 groceries earn 128 points and rounded up to 130 points.

Annual redemption bonus

Earn 100,000 points each year to redeem 10% of your points. If you make the most of this benefit, you can earn up to 10,000 points. This is worth $100 with a gift card. Please note that this benefit does not apply to share points.

Benefits of Citi Rewards+ Card Intro

Welcome bonus

Another great advantage of this card is the welcome bonus. You can earn 20,000 points after spending $1,500 on a purchase within three months of opening an account. You can redeem these points for $200 Gift Card thank you.

Intro APR Offer

Citi Rewards+ Card offers a 0% intro APR 15 months after opening an account with both purchases (from the date of account opening) and qualifying balance transfers (balance transfers must be made within the first 4 months from the date of the first transfer). After you The intro APR offer endsthere are variable APRs between 18.24% and 28.24%.

If you decide to use it Balance Transfer OfferI’ll pay for the intro Balance transfer fee 3% (minimum $5) for each transfer completed within the first 4 months of opening an account. After the first 4 months, a balance transfer fee of 5% (min. $5) will be applied.
